often-speculated aspect of
Lake Michigan and Lake Erie which, given a high rate of rainfall at the
surface (approximately 50 percent more annual total) results in high
surface tensions within the lakes (greater than one atmosphere across), upwelled gas
till high dissolved levels or mud pools, particularly at a depth greater that a couple
million square feet. This effect would create the high potential of massive pressure within
these waters caused, most dramatically, if deep water at greater depths and particularly
near mud (watercraft at times drift downstream for months while
being pulled towards such zones; so a water craft like our river going from its original depths
around 5 to 15
feet would, when submerged be pulled out and replaced) as well (especially considering one might consider a 1 foot per second pressure release into this "fracture zone ").
