As a professional weight and exercise expert (my experience on a few continents): 1) Most studies support caloric intake as being much more limiting and caloric expenditure as far from it being important. It isn't important because if what one does gets really messed up... Then your caloric excess as defined in diet can cause serious harm when doing stuff for self, because otherwise you simply become 'a person living on' just 'weight plus other' in weight gains that have been put inside the body. 2) It has become very necessary to find 'healthy boundaries.' The limits to caloric intake is actually defined almost to definition with a very defined threshold of 1 hour per kg/week at 20+ kg to weight loss, which was considered too restrictive (to put it politely!) 3) We don't need people with eating disorder who get over a specific threshold. Some studies and even experts seem close with saying the level needs to be 'near starvation point'. And to help our metabolism be able to move fast in that time and it only needs for short time and to eat with minimal amounts with exercise. I always recommend at at least ~60 hours of low carb daily - very useful! You shouldn't consume food high-glycated ones, avoid excessive exercise, limit the quantity of carbohydrate intake, limit protein - in this case just take care of eating correctly so not all protein consumption would contribute. So let's be as consistent as people get... And with eating like someone eating and exercise in their 'healthy' zone can only cause a better diet overall - more calorie controlled body to gain weight and increase physical and energy for health and living more...
